Sheila is a highly experienced behavioral health professional with more than 25 years in the field. Her career began as a first responder in her local fire department, where she gained valuable experience in crisis intervention and emergency response. Since then, Sheila has held many roles in mental health and substance use care, including direct care and management positions.
In 2020, Sheila joined TaraVista as the Director of Admissions, where she was responsible for managing the admissions process to assist patients and families initiating treatment and work with referring agencies to facilitate the process. When MiraVista opened in 2021, Sheila was named Chief Admissions Director for our new health system. Her exceptional performance in this role led to her promotion to COO at TaraVista, where she oversees the day-to-day operations, ensuring TaraVista provides a safe, caring and therapeutic environment.
Throughout her career, Sheila has demonstrated a deep commitment to expanding access to mental health and substance use care in the communities she serves. She has a proven track record of creating treatment atmospheres that meet the unique needs of each patient, and she is widely recognized for her ability to bring clinical and operations teams together to achieve common goals. Sheila is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and she holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Framingham State College and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Northeastern University.
